After moving to Seattle under a music scholarship, he began sharpening his recording and production skills while collaborating in the studio with singer-songwriters Aseda Safoa, Lindy, and Alia Haro. He also played live in a local jazz band and rock group, The Wicks, hustling both swing dance and mosh pit gigs alike.
